Volunteer Form

RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks branch are a small independent charity, part of a network of local branches that support the National RSPCA. We primarily assist in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals. Please note that we don't currently have an animal centre or resources to allow us to care for and rehome dogs on a regular basis, so we do not require dog walkers.

YOUR DETAILS

Most of our volunteer roles that involve working directly with animals require you to be aged 18 or over for liability reasons. However many young people help in other ways, such as fundraising.

VOLUNTEERING WITH MK RSPCA

We just need to get a few details from you so we can find out how you can help us.

Running a local RSPCA branch requires help, advice and support from all types of people. Whatever knowledge and skills you have, we could probably use them. And we are always looking for volunteers with a can-do attitude who are open to receiving training!

(Prior volunteer experience is not mandatory)

Please note that we have no vacancies at our cattery.

Please note that we have separate online forms for animal fostering (links below). If you wish to support the branch in additional roles, please continue with filling out this form and then proceed to complete the fostering forms.

Our core areas of operations are Newport Pagnell, Great Linford, Stony Stratford & Bletchley, though we do hold events in other areas of Milton Keynes and surrounding towns. We do have opportunities to volunteer online from home too.
If you aren't sure what to write, here are some suggestions for information that will help us learn more about you in order to match you to a suitable volunteer position: - Do you have pets? - What prompted you to submit this volunteer application? - What is your professional background, or are you in education? - What are some of your hobbies or interests? - Do you have any specific skills or ideas that you would like to contribute? - How would your friends describe you?

We will review this information and contact you to discuss suitable volunteer opportunities and answer any further questions you may have. We'll try to get in touch with you within 2-5 working days, but please be aware that it may take longer during busier times.

Please note that new volunteers may be required to attend an induction session, where you will learn more about branch operations - the onsite inductions are often followed by an internal social event where you can choose to stay and meet other volunteers.
