APES - Adoption Application

This adoption application form is an essential part of our process in ensuring that each animal finds the best possible forever home.

Policy Update (Effective 27/03/2025):
To further safeguard our animals, APES Shelter & Rescue now conducts criminal history background checks. This ensures that our animals are not placed in homes where individuals are prohibited from owning pets due to legal or criminal proceedings.

Mandatory Admin Fee:
Due to the associated costs of conducting these checks, a mandatory £15 Admin Fee will be applied to all adoptions.

Process:

Application Submission: Completing this form allows us to reserve the animal in your name.
Reservation Donation: A minimum reservation donation of £10 per week is required. This donation secures the animal's reservation for an initial period of one week. Should you require additional time, please inform the advisor upon contact.
Home Vetting: Adoption acceptance is not guaranteed. We require a home setup vetting, which can now be conducted remotely via phone or tablet.
Non-transferable and Non-refundable Fees: Please note that all reservation and adoption fees, including the admin fee, are non-transferable and non-refundable.
