Please do not bring your pet to the shelter unless a surrender appointment or other arrangements have been confirmed by HCHS staff.

Surrender requests are reviewed based on available space, resources, your pet's individual needs, and the circumstances surrounding your request.

Assistance may include pet food, low-cost spay/neuter, vaccinations and wellness services, short-term crisis fostering, training or behavioral support, and other resources based on eligibility and availability.
