Do you have room for an 8 square foot cage in your house? All of our foster guinea pigs need to be housed in a cage provided by the rescue. *
Are you available 1 Saturday a month to come to the rescue for a guinea pig health check and trade out? *
If you can't come on a Saturday what week day would work for you to come to the rescue after 5pm? *

Do you understand that you WILL be fostering a bonded pair? Guinea pigs are very social animals and should NEVER be kept individually. We have lots of bonded pairs and some larger groups in the rescue. Can you welcome a pair or group into your home? If so let us know if you're interested in a pair or larger group. Typically our larger groups are 3-4 guinea pigs.
Would you be willing to help with behavioral rehabilitation? We sometimes have very shy or reactive buns come into the rescue. Would you be ok taking the time to bring one of these buns out of their shell?
Would you be willing to help with weight loss/gain? We have some super skinny or super chunky buns come into the rescue. Are you prepared to welcome one or more of those buns into your home to get to the perfect weight following the recommendations of our vets?
I agree I as the foster will provide hay, food pellets, litter, transportation, and love. *
I agree the cage, litterbox, waterer and carrier provided by the rescue are property of the rescue and will cost me $100 should I fail to return them to the rescue when I return or adopt my foster. *
I agree foster guinea pigs must return to the rescue or an adoption event in Elizabethtown on a Saturday each month for a health check and swap. (If we agree on a different day then the guinea pigs will come back on that day) *
I agree I as the foster am responsible for sending weekly updates with pictures and bio information to the rescue through the Bun Bun Brigade Fosters Facebook Group. *
I agree I as the foster must also be able to come to the rescue, by arrangement and with at least 48 hours notice if my current foster guinea pigs are requested by a potential adopter. *
I agree we as the foster family in the event that a current foster pair of guinea pigs is requested for adoption and we as the foster family would like to adopt the guinea pigs, we must submit our adoption application to be approved and complete the adoption BEFORE the adopter comes to meet our foster guinea pigs. *
I as the foster agree in case a guinea pig stops eating or has another health emergency, I must contact the rescue immediately and return the foster guinea pigs to the rescue. If the guinea pigs are deemed to need medical care the rescue will transport the foster guinea pigs to our medical partner for emergency care. You are welcome to take your foster guinea pigs to your vet AT YOUR OWN COST. *
I agree that the rescue is not responsible for damages caused by guinea pigs in foster care. *
By signing below and submitting the application, you affirm you accept the terms and conditions listed above. * the foster family would like to adopt the bun, the foster family must get their adoption application approved and complete the adoption BEFORE the adopter comes to meet their foster bunny. --In case a rabbit stops eating or has another health emergency, the foster family must contact the rescue immediately and return the foster rabbit to the rescue. If the rabbit is deemed to need medical care the rescue will transport the foster bun to our medical partner for emergency care. You are welcome to take your foster bun to your vet AT YOUR OWN COST. --The rescue is not responsible for damages caused by a bunny in foster care.
