I understand that Cat Utopia does its best to evaluate a pet's temperament or health. I agree not to hold Cat Utopia liable for any damage the cat may do to the foster family's home, individuals, or personal pets in the household. Cat Utopia exercises due caution to prevent disease transmission; however, due to the circumstances from which rescue animals come, any animal may carry or have had exposure to an infectious disease, and many are too young for immunizations or reliable testing (ringworm can incubate up to 6 weeks; FIP has no indicators; leukemia may be present in cats too young for screening to be effective). We recommend keeping personal pets in a separate area of the house. Cat Utopia cannot warrant or guarantee the foster pet is healthy. Your signature below warrants your determination that this animal is acceptable for you and your household to foster, and you agree to indemnify and hold Cat Utopia, its volunteers, and any other Cat Utopia representative(s) harmless for any illness the animal may develop and any injury or damage this foster pet may cause once you have taken possession of the animal. By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to all terms laid out in this contract and the Regulations Regarding the Foster Program.
