Please read the following: √ I understand that I must remain in communication with The Furry Paws Foster Inn by email and/or text message throughout the rehoming process. √ I understand that my pet will remain in my care, custody, and control until ownership is legally transferred to a new owner. The Furry Paws Foster Inn will not take possession of my pet unless a separate surrender agreement is executed. √ I understand that The Furry Paws Foster Inn may not have available foster space and that I am responsible for caring for my pet until a new home is found. If I require immediate placement, I understand that I should contact my local animal shelter or another appropriate resource. √ I agree to immediately notify The Furry Paws Foster Inn if my pet is no longer available for adoption or if any information provided in this application changes. √ I understand that all prospective adopters referred through The Furry Paws Foster Inn must complete the organization's standard adoption application and screening process. √ If an applicant is approved, I understand that I will receive the prospective adopter's contact information so that I may arrange a meet-and-greet and determine whether the placement is appropriate for my pet. √ I understand that the final decision regarding placement of my pet remains mine, and I agree to notify The Furry Paws Foster Inn once my pet has been successfully placed or if I decide not to proceed with an adoption. √I understand that any personal information regarding prospective adopters is confidential and will only be used for the purpose of arranging the adoption. I agree not to share, distribute, or misuse this information. √I understand that The Furry Paws Foster Inn does not guarantee the suitability of any adopter and makes no warranties regarding any placement. The final decision to transfer ownership of my pet rests solely with me. √ I understand that I remain solely responsible for my pet's care, behavior, medical condition, and any damages or injuries caused by my pet until legal ownership has been transferred to the adopter. √ I understand that ownership and responsibility for my pet transfer directly from me to the adopter upon execution of the Owner-to-Adopter Rehoming Agreement. The Furry Paws Foster Inn is not a party to the transfer of ownership. √I understand that I will not receive any compensation or payment for my pet through this program. √I agree to provide the adopter with all available veterinary records, vaccination records, microchip information, and any other relevant medical history. √I understand that, unless exempt under Maryland law, my pet must have a current rabies vaccination before being placed through this program. Proof of vaccination must be provided before my pet is listed as available for adoption. √If my pet is not spayed or neutered, I understand that the adopter will be charged the current Furry Paws Foster Inn adoption fee to assist with the cost of sterilization and related veterinary care. Current adoption fees are available on our website. √I understand that The Furry Paws Foster Inn reserves the right to decline participation in the Owner-Assisted Rehoming Program or discontinue assistance at any time if information provided is found to be inaccurate, incomplete, or if continued participation is not in the best interest of the animal or the organization. I certify that I read, understand, and acknowledge the above statements and would like to follow through with rehoming my pet.
