Are you interested in becoming a part of our transport team to take community animals to spay and neuter appointments in Tacoma? Note that drop off times are 8 AM so this is best suited for early birds!
Are you interested in working directly with animals or would you prefer to help with admin, property maintenance or other similar kinds of support?

If interested in dog walking and care, are you physically able to handle large dogs that are strong and that may pull on the leash or jump?
If you are interested in hands on animal support are you interested in in volunteering with the Cat Program or Dog Program -- or Both?
What times of day are you available?
If part of the dog or cat shelter team can you commit to at least three hours of weekly volunteer service for at least 6 months ?
If you CANNOT commit to volunteering weekly for 6 months what is your availability?
Volunteer Confidentiality Policy: Information concerning the management and operation of our organization and information on prior animal owners or adopters is not shared with the public and must be kept confidential. The following guidelines have been developed for this purpose. Confidential information may only be shared with those inside the organization whose jobs require them to have access to the information or when the law requires or protects the release of such information. Volunteers must not disclose sensitive or non-public information to people outside the organization or discuss it in public places. Documents containing sensitive information, including information stored on computer systems, must be handled carefully and must be properly stored. Volunteer Hold Harmless Agreement: I recognize that while preforming my services in a voluntary capacity in handling animals there may be a risk of injury. On behalf of myself, my heirs, and personal representatives I hereby release and hold harmless Haven, its Board of Directors, agents, and employees from any and all claims, causes of action or demands of any nature or cause connected to my volunteer service. I also agree to release and hold Haven harmless for any and all damages to my personal property while preforming my volunteer services. I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand the terms and conditions of the foregoing liability release waiver and by digital signature below agree to accept them if accepted in the volunteer program. *
