Are these pets spayed/neutered? If you have current pets that are not sterilized, please explain why. Many foster pets are not yet sterilized. We want to prevent unwanted litters by ensuring that your pets are sterilized. We appreciate your understanding. *
Do you have a regular veterinarian? *
If you answered "yes" to the above question, please tell us the name and phone number of your regular veterinarian. We will contact your veterinarian to verify that your current pets are spayed/neutered and are up-to-date on their vaccinations. We conduct this vet check in order to keep your pets safe from a foster pet, which might be harboring unknown diseases that could infect unvaccinated pets in your home. Many foster pets are not yet sterilized. We want to prevent unwanted litters by ensuring that your pets are sterilized. We appreciate your understanding.

Foster pets are still the responsibility of HSAC. We will provide supplies, such as collar, leash, litterbox, formula and bottles for baby animals, food for adult animals, and reasonable routine vet care. Foster pets do not belong to the foster family. Decisions about vet care will be made by HSAC and only those expenses that are authorized by HSAC will be covered financially by HSAC.
