What to expect with your microchipping appointment:
1. We come to you! (Limited to our immediate service area if no City Sponsor is available)
2. We are equipped with many treats and a supply bag. Be prepared for your pet to be showered with treats by us during their appointment. If your pet wants to sniff and climb in our supply bag - let them! It helps them feel more comfortable -- we want that!
3. Please allow the AEL representatives to introduce themselves to your animal(s) - do not restrain them or force them to come to us. =)
Lauren and Kasey are FearFree certified - meaning they use the least intrusive and minimal restraint with the animals to keep stress levels lowered.
4. We may use a click and train technique with your pet. If you feel like your pet is being naughty - let them! We can use it as an opportunity to teach and gain trust with them.
5. Payment is due at the time of service. AEL accepts Venmo, Square (credit/debit), cash, or check.
6. You will receive an aftercare form with your animal's microchip number.

P.S. What is a City Sponsor? A City Sponsor is a business or individual that Sponsors a 'City' - they pay our way to rural towns so that we can provide private microchip appointments to as many North Dakota communities as possible! Email kasey@aelrescue.org for additional information.
