AEL Pet Retention Program: Lend A Paw

IMPORTANT INFORMATION : READ THOROUGHLY

AEL's Pet Retention Program: Lend A Paw is intended to help keep people and pets together. AEL reserves the right to deny services. If you've formerly been assisted by Blessed Pets, you're at the right place. In March 2023, Blessed Pets' program was absorbed by AEL. We are honored to serve the community in this way and continue Blessed Pets' mission with ours.

Pickups are on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month between the hours of 17:00 (5p) to 19:00 (7p) at 25 19th Ave SE. This is a volunteer's home address and is private property.
We ask that you do not arrive during non-open hours unless otherwise discussed with an AEL representative. Please do not wait for the Pantry to open outside of the residence any sooner than 445pm. Thank you for understanding.
As much as we LOVE pets, we must ask that you refrain from bringing them to the pantry for insurance and biosecurity purposes.

This includes, but is not limited to, dog or cat food that smells "nutty", visible mold, or parasites on or in the food. We do our best to check over food before handing it out but we are human too and sometimes miss things. Please do your due diligence in checking the food you receive prior to feeding it to your pet. If you are in need of other items besides pet food please let us know so we can connect you with the appropriate resources. Taking advantage of business partners will result in an automatic denial of future supply. You understand that this would be considered a fraudulent use of resources and could result in stores no longer supporting the program which would affect hundreds of pets. *
