Found Animal Questionnaire

Stray Animal Intake Form

If you've found a stray animal, please read the following guidelines carefully before proceeding.

Current Shelter Capacity and Your Role:

Due to over-capacity, our shelter is temporarily unable to intake additional animals. To avoid the need for euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals, we request that citizens refrain from picking up animals they do not own.

If You Can House the Animal:

If you're able to temporarily house the animal for 2-3 weeks, kindly fill out this form to join our waiting list. During this time, please:

If the Animal is Sick, Injured, or Aggressive:

If the animal is displaying aggression, or is sick or injured, please contact animal control immediately at 770-942-5961 for a pick-up.

For Healthy Animals You Cannot House:

Please return them to their found location. Remember, 90% of 'stray' animals are found within 1/4 mile of their homes. They're often not lost, just exploring. Please do not feed strays unless you're willing to take responsibility for them, as they're likely to stay where they're fed and cared for.

Please provide the closest address possible to where the animal was found.
