Have you adopted an animal from our program before?
*
No
Yes
If you have adopted from us before, what was their name in our program?
To ensure the safety and well-being of our animals, our organization limits adoptions to no more than three (3) dogs within an 18-calendar-month period per household. This guideline helps ensure that each dog receives adequate time, attention, and resources, and that adopters are able to provide stable, long-term care for every animal in their home. Exceptions may be considered at the discretion of the organization only in special circumstances (such as dogs adopted as hospice cases who have passed). I UNDERSTAND

How did you find out about Long Way Home Adoptables?
*
Long Way Home Adoptables *strongly* disagrees with cosmetic surgeries such as ear cropping, tail docking, and declawing. We will not provide this unnecessary surgery for you, and we require that you consult with us before considering it for your adopted dog. It is our view that these surgeries are unnecessary, often leave behind nerve damage, and put the pet at undue risk of anesthesia. Do you agree to this requirement?
*
Yes, I completely agree.
No, once I adopt this pet, what I do with it is my choice.

Terms and Conditions: It can take us up to a week to contact all your references and process your application. Additionally, our pets often have MANY applications on them. We do not employ a first come first served approach, so filtering through all the applications to choose the best home can take time. We will do our best to respond to every applicant, but there are only so many hours in a day that we can volunteer. If your home is chosen, we will contact you directly. If you do not hear from us, please know that it is not a reflection of you or your home, but rather, our ability to handle the overwhelming interest some pets in our program receive. Please keep in mind that our foster families are all volunteers, with full time jobs and family obligations. As much as we want to be able to respond the same day, that likely will not happen. Once you submit your application, the system will email you a copy and our staff will review it.
