A pet needs to be seen by a veterinary AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR for annual vaccinations and examinations. Average routine vet care costs between $400 and $600 per year. Are you willing and able to provide regular vet care for your new pet? *

Please note that sometimes applicants forget that their vet records are under a maiden or married name. In order for us to do a vet reference, you will need to call to give your vet permission to speak to us. Please do that if you have not already. If you are unwilling to do that, please explain. This is only Not Applicable if you do not have a current vet. *

If you do not do all of your pets vetting at one vet office, then we will not be able to get a full vet reference. The average life span of a cat is about 12 to 15 years, and dogs is about 10 to 15 years. Are you able to care for the pet you are interested in adopting for the extent of their life? *

A young pet requires a lot of training, can be very playful either with their sharp kitten or puppy nails, or teeth while teething. Puppies and young dogs can and will be very jumpy. If you are unable or willing to provide training, please consider an older pet.
