Foster Home Application

Thank you for your interest in fostering a pet for North Georgia Animal Alliance (NGAA). Fostering a pet not only enriches your life, but enriches the life of a homeless pet. The temporary love you provide to a pet in your home, helps: a shy, abused or neglected pet, come out of its shell; a pet that recently had surgery, heal; newborn puppies or kittens without a mom, get nourishment to grow strong. Your interaction helps the pet to become adoptable and ready for placement in a loving permanent home. To be considered as a foster care parent for NGAA you must be at least 18 years old and complete the required information below. Please ensure you answer all questions completely.

Everyone who volunteers with NGAA in any area must fill out a volunteer application.

Application Submission and Signature Submission of an application does not guarantee placement of a foster pet in the home. All of the information I have provided on this application is, to the best of my knowledge, true and complete. I understand that falsifying answers on the application, or at any other time during the fostering process, will disqualify me from fostering. If selected to provide foster care for a NGAA pet, I understand and agree to the following: If fostering a cat, it will remain indoor only. If fostering a dog it will only be outside while supervised and will be restrained on a leash. The pet I foster may initially be stressed and exhibit behavior issues and will need time to adjust to the foster home. Only positive training will be used and no physical punishment will be used regardless of behavior issues. If non-emergency vet care is required, I will contact NGAA to get approval before taking the foster pet to a vet. Under no circumstance will I give the foster pet away to a new home or adopt a foster pet to a new home without NGAA’s knowledge and until the finalization of all adoption paperwork. If at any time, I cannot follow through on my foster commitment, I will contact the NGAA Cat Coordinator or NGAA Dog Coordinator to make arrangements to return the foster pet. If selected, I will keep an open line of communication with NGAA regarding the foster pet and will keep my contact information current.
