Please fill out as much information as possible in order to help reunite the lost animal with their owners. FYI: Important Information for Animal Turn-Ins If you need to turn in an animal to Athens Animal Services, please be aware of the following: • A photo ID is required. • Proof of residency within Athens city limits must be provided. Athens City Animal Services allows each household to surrender or turn in up to 2 animals for free per year. After that, it’s $35 per animal. Please Note: Athens Animal Services and Limestone County Animal Care and Control (LCACC) are separate entities. If you live outside the city limits in Limestone County, Athens Animal Services cannot accept the animal. If you live in the county, please contact LCACC at 256-233-6494 for assistance.
