We only adopt out kittens in pairs unless you have a young cat at home already. If your application is for a single kitten and does not meet this criteria, your application would only be approved for a pair of kittens or an adult cat that has been noted to be happy to live as an only cat.
We want the kitty you adopt from us to be right for your home and family so if, for any reason, the adoption does not work out or your circumstances change, even years later, and you can no longer keep and provide for you kitty, you agree to return the kitty to us.
You agree that you are adopting this kitty solely for yourself and/or your immediate family and you will not sell or give it away to any other person(s) for any reason.
Our cats and kittens all come spayed/neutered and with core vaccines completed, unless otherwise specified at the time of adoption for special cases. We will not adopt out kittens too young to be altered. If an animal is believed to be altered by our veterinarians but is later found to be intact, please reach out for assistance with spay/neuter.
You agree to never declaw the kitty and to keep it indoors only.
We do our best to insure that the kitty you adopt from us is well and healthy but occasionally there may be an unforseen medical problem of which we are not aware. Please let us know as soon as possible if your new kitty shows signs of illness during the first week after adoption and we will arrange for it to see one of our veterinarians as soon as possible.
Our shelter vet regularly comes to our shelter to examine, provide care and oversee the health of all our cats and kittens. However, your kitty may not have had a full pre-adoption health exam. You agree to notify your own veterinarian of the adoption so they may tell you when your newly adopted cat should be seen by them. We will not be liable for any expenses incurred because of illness or medical condition that requires vetting if we were not contacted or you chose to have your own veterinarian see the cat instead of ours. We will not reimburse medical expenses.
We reserve the right to retrieve the kitty and return it to our rescue if the above conditions are not met.
Harassment, name calling, accusations, threats, and bullying of any sort will not be tolerated and will result in immediate denial of adoption for now and in the future. Our organization will not tolerate that behavior towards our volunteers.
You understand that our organization is 100% volunteer with no paid positions. This means that our processing times and available times may vary. Applications will typically take 7 business days to be processed. If consent is not given to your veterinarian or further information is needed, these times may be extended. We only notify you if we need more information or you are approved to adopt.
