#2. Friends United in Rescue, Inc works all over Northern California performing broad spectrum rescue. This means that the cat you are adopting may have been rescued from a disaster zone, hoarding case, abuse/neglect case or from a box on the side of the road. Friends United in Rescue, Inc provides every cat in their care with a vet exam prior to adoption but can not guarantee the health of the cat in the future. Do you understand?

#3. Declawing is prohibited when adopting a cat from our organization. Declawing is not only cruel but inhumane. Declawing your cat can cause chronic pain, aggression and frequent litter box accidents. Do you agree to NEVER declaw the cat you are adopting?

#4. We put an extreme amount of care, love and dedication into each cat that ends up at our rescue. The cat you are adopting will always hold a special place in our hearts and we care deeply about their lives. If you are unable to keep the cat throughout the entirety of its life please notify us immediately as we will help you with rehoming. #5. You understand that the cat you are adopting may have been exposed to different feline diseases, infections and/or viruses. If the cat you are adopting becomes ill within the first 14 days after adoption, we encourage you to notify us immediately so we can get your cat scheduled for an exam with one of our veterinarians at no cost to you. *If you choose to have your cat examined by your vet, Friends United in Rescue, Inc is not financially responsible for any fees charged to you. #6. Our organization is not legally required to test our cats for FIV or FELV. It is entirely up to you to have the cat tested. If you choose to have the cat tested, Friends United in Rescue, Inc is not financially responsible for any fees acquired to do the testing. Do you understand?

#7. Our organization has any cat over the age of 16 weeks vaccinated for rabies. If you are adopting a cat younger than 16 weeks, it is your responsibility to get the cat vaccinated for rabies once they have reached the desired age of vaccination. Do you understand?
