We are able to offer volunteering roles to anyone from the age of 15. However, anyone who is under the age of 18 will need permission from their parents/guardians to volunteer at the Shelter. Therefore, once you have applied to volunteer at the Shelter and we have sent you the volunteer handbook we will need to see proof that your parents/guardians are happy for you to volunteer at the Shelter. They can do this by sending us an email, stating that they have also read the handbook so they know what you will be doing at the Shelter, and by signing some additional paperwork. Thank you!

Entering multiple days does not obligate you to attend more than once a week, however you are welcome to do so.

Please read the following:
Please note we are a small shelter and have a specific number of vacancies for each role that we offer. This may mean we have no vacancies on the days that you are available and may be asked to be placed on a waiting list.
Before you are asked to be a regular volunteer, you will need to complete a trial shift, which we will be in touch to arrange should there be a suitable slot. A successful trial day will be followed by a 4 week review period, where either yourself or The Sheffield Cats Shelter can end your time volunteering with us if either party feels it is no longer suitable for you to continue.
Thank you for your interest in our Charity, volunteers make a huge difference to the work we do and we appreciate you taking the time to complete the application.
