Euthanasia Policy* We will never put an animal to sleep to make space for another animal to come into us. Pets who's emotional and physical needs cannot be safeguarded will be assessed, reviewed and necessary steps implemented to improve this. If a pet is found to have an untreatable or serious medical problem(s), or behavioural issues so severe we deem them unsafe to be rehomed, then euthanasia will be considered. Bonded Animal Policy - In instances where 2 cats come from the same household and are bonded, we will always try to house and rehome them together where possible. In instances where there is a medical or behavioural concern which means the animals welfare is compromised when housed or rehomed together, our team will assess their needs and make may the decision to rehome your animals individually. CDCH will always try to keep bonded animals together, however this will be assessed in line with the animals individual welfare whilst in our care.
