Yancey Humane Society is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit shelter. We have limited capacity. Although we wish we had the space to take in every animal that needs our help, we have to maintain a waitlist for personal pets. While on the waitlist we can create a rehoming post for your animal on our website and social media page. This post will include your phone number and email address, so that prospective adopters can contact you directly.
