SCA - Foster Carer Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Street Cat Alliance Queensland foster carer! Foster carers are the backbone of any rescue and it is a highly valued role within our group. Below are some guidelines for you to consider before you apply to foster. It is important that SCA Qld foster carers understand what is expected of them and adhere to these expectations at all times.

SCA will cover all vet fees, parasite control, food and litter.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
   * Collecting your foster from a public location or residential address
   * Attending vet appointments with your foster (vet fees covered by SCA Qld)
   * Feeding and grooming your foster (may include bathing, administration of medications, etc)
   * Providing appropriate enrichment – ie: scratch posts, cat toys, etc.
   * Ensuring plenty of cat play time and snuggle time for socialisation
   * Providing basic training, including litter training your foster
   * Regularly submitting quality photos of your foster for adoption promotion (at least 5 photos weekly)
   * Providing regular feedback on the behaviour and personality of your foster to SCA Qld admins
   * Having your foster readily available for viewings, events, and/or collection (at a mutually agreeable time)

Please complete the following form and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

To ensure our cat's health and safety, and compliance with council bylaws, it is expected that they are kept indoors, or within a suitable enclosure at all times.
