The Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge reserves the right to sell you a dog/puppy. All the animals in this Refuge are owned by us and are adopted under our terms and conditions which are to ensure the long-term welfare of the animals. Part of those conditions are to match you up with a dog/puppy that suits you and your lifestyle by asking the following questions.
Ownership of the dog/puppy does not transfer to you until you have complied with the conditions of adoption. By signing this form, you agree to our terms and conditions to adopt.
Take the time to adopt a new dog/puppy, and please listen to our advice. Dogs can take 4 weeks to adjust to new surroundings, and you should keep your new dog close by for the first few weeks avoiding dogs parks or beachs, taking the time to allow your dog to settle into your routine and bond with you.
It is also council requirements that your dog is contained to your property with suitable fencing.
We have a 28 day cooling off period whereby any dog adopted can be returned to the refuge within 28 days. At the discretion of the refuge, no refund is given but a credit for another animal is allowable within 6 months. This is a once only option.
Ownership of the dog/puppy does not transfer to you until you have complied with the SCARS Desexing requirments and Conditions of Sale.
