Purr Partners Volunteer Application

Purr Partners is a 100% volunteer-run foster-based rescue with NO paid employees. EVERY dollar that we receive goes directly to support the cats and kittens we rescue. Purr Partners is self-funded through adoption fees, donations, and fundraising events. But we cannot do it without volunteers like yourself, so thank you for being part of the solution!

Please note that most of our volunteering opportunities require you to be within driving distance of Wake Forest/Raleigh, North Carolina.

PetSmart Adoptathon Counselor - work a two hour shift on the weekend and be the face of Purr Partners! Interacting with the public and the kitty cuddles are free! Adoptathons are held every Saturday and Sunday. You would sign up to help for a two hour adoptathon shift at one of our PetSmart Adoption Centers in Wake Forest or in Raleigh at Six Forks Station or Capital Crossings. You will be the face of Purr Partners and interact with the public -- being flexible and friendly is definitely a plus! You will be showing the cats, discussing their bio/personality, explaining the adoption process and accepting applications. Tasks may also include setting up/taking down cages, adding food & water, giving the cats potty breaks and answering basic questions from PetSmart customers.

Help TNR in Franklin County? Wandering Whiskers sets traps, pick up cats and get them to their appointment, return the cats to where trapped.

Note: Most of the cats in TNR program are feral. TNR work tends to be very early morning, late evening so you need to live in the Franklin County area. Reliable transportation is required for transporting cats and setting traps.

Planning or helping out at events
