To facilitate training and minimise disruprion to our animals, A Minimum of 6 consecutive weeks of volunteering is required to start.

What you will be doing:

* Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each area.

* Preparing and providing food and water for the animals as directed by staff.

* Attending to the grooming needs of the animals where necessary.

* Socialising and interacting with the animals.

* Following health and safety procedures that are in place and ensuring that they are observed in all aspects of work and following staff instructions.

* Liaising with staff and other volunteers at the shelter.

The skills you need:

* Must feel comfortable around animals, have patience, and an understanding of their nature.

* Able to carry out physical tasks, bending, stooping, and lifting.

* Able to work within a team and take direction from staff. But also to be able to lead with your own initiative

Volunteer weekly you must be over 18 and available to fulfill your Role on a weekly basis for a minimum of 6 consecutive weeks




For work experience Put in the dates you are hoping to do your placement in order of preference. For weekly volunteers put in the date you are available to start.

Volunteering with animals can be physical and unpredictable. We are committed to providing a safe, positive experience for all our volunteers.

Due to the nature of the role and the importance of routine to the animals, any volunteer that misses 3 shifts in close proximity on short notice or is routinely late or absent will loose their placement.
