If you are adopting a young kitten, have you recently checked the cost to spay or neuter a kitten AND the availability of appointments? ACAT does not early alter its kittens. If you are adopting a kitty under 4 months old, it will likely not be spayed or neutered. The $50 ACAT requires does not cover most alter surgeries. You must contact your vet office to get a cost estimate prior to adopting a young kitten from ACAT.
