Whiskers Rescue Foster Care Acknowledgement and Release Whiskers Rescue is extremely grateful for the help and care given by foster volunteers. All foster volunteers are required to enter into this agreement. I understand that the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) is considered property of Whiskers Rescue and will be in my care on a temporary basis only. I also understand that I have no ownership interest in the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s). I agree to provide housing and care for this foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) on behalf of Whiskers Rescue. I agree to provide the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) with humane care, adequate food and water, bedding, and a clean-living space. If Whiskers Rescue provides medications for the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s), I agree to administer these medications as prescribed and directed by Whiskers Rescue. I acknowledge that Whiskers Rescue recommends that I keep the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) isolated from my pets to limit exposure to contagious disease and prevent any behavioral incidents. If I decide to allow my pets and the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) to interact, I acknowledge that I am responsible for supervising the interaction. I accept sole responsibility for treating my own pets if that become ill or injured from contact with a foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s). I agree to adhere to all relevant zoning and animal control codes and ordinances; whether local, county, or state. I certify that all animals at my residence are up to date on vaccinations. All cats are up to date on the FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, and all dogs are up to date on DAPPV and Rabies vaccines; all resident cats and dogs are also spayed/neutered. I agree to return the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) by the scheduled return date. If, at any time, Whiskers Rescue requests that I return the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) to Whiskers Rescue, I agree to return the foster animal to Whiskers Rescue within 24 hours of the request. If my foster Cat(s)/Kittens(s) experiences a medical emergency I will immediately contact Whiskers Rescue director, Robyn, at 479-871-7709 by call AND text. All veterinary care for the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) will be provided through Whiskers Rescue. I understand that I am responsible for bringing the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) to any medical appointments and treatments that are needed, including vaccination boosters, bandage changes, etc. I will notify Whiskers Rescue if a foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) presents with any signs of illness or injury. AT no time is a foster animal to be seen by a veterinarian without prior consent from Whiskers Rescue director, Robyn, 479-8711-7709 (call AND text). If I am bitten by a foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) and it breaks the skin drawing blood, I will notify Whiskers Rescue immediately (within 24 hours). Foster Cat(s)/Kittens(s) are to always remain indoors and be transported in a carrier. Secure catios are acceptable. I am volunteering to foster this animal. I acknowledge that I will not be receiving any salary, payment, or other compensation for this volunteer service. I acknowledge that I will not receive reimbursement for any purchases for the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) or any costs incurred without prior consent from Whiskers Rescue director, Robyn 479-871-7709 (text preferred). I agree that I will not hold Whiskers Rescue responsible for any damages associated with the foster of this Cat(s)/Kitten(s). I hereby release and hold harmless Whiskers Rescue in connection with this foster agreement. I acknowledge that the foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) are in my care alone and are my sole responsibility. My foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) will remain in my residence and will not be given to another person(s). Adoptions of foster animals may only occur through Whiskers Rescue. I will notify Whiskers Rescue if I am involved in an accident, if there is an infraction on my driving record, or if there is an issue with transport. I understand I am never to leave an animal alone in a vehicle. Cats will always be transported in a cat carrier. I certify that my driver’s license is valid and my vehicle insurance is up to date. I certify that no persons residing within the household where the foster Cat(s)/Kittens(s) will be housed has been charged with or convicted of animal abuse or neglect. I agree home visits by Whiskers Rescue director and/or her proxy to verify living conditions of foster Cat(s)/Kittens with no less than a 24 hour notice. I understand Whiskers Rescue can terminate the foster care agreement at its discretion at any time without prior notice. I understand that I am not permitted to post photos of my foster Cat(s)/Kitten(s) on social media unless the animal is available for adoption.
