You will provide a supportive, healthy and safe environment to the Foster Animals (s) and provide the Foster Animals with adequate food, water, exercise and shelter and kind and humane treatment at all times. *

You will adhere to all state and local animal laws and follow all oral and/or written instructions from The Animal Haven. *

You will permit The Animal Haven to inspect at any time the Foster Animal (s) and your premises so that The Animal Haven can ascertain and satisfy itself that the Foster Animal (s) is/are being cared for. *

You will immediately notify The Animal Haven if the Foster Animal(s) has/have any behavioural, health or medical problems, and The Animal Haven has the exclusive right to determine the proper course of action to take upon such notification. *

You understand and accept that The Animal Haven makes no representations or warranties concerning the health, temperament, behaviour and/or previous ownership of the Foster Animal(s). *

You will follow any and all directions provided by The Animal Haven with respect to any behavioural, health or medical problems, including, but not limited to taking the Fostered Animal(s) to the a veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital. *

You will administer medications to the Foster Animal(s) if directed to do so and as instructed by The Animal Haven, and any medications to be administered to the Foster Animal(s) by the Foster Caregiver will be supplied by The Animal Haven or a licensed veterinarian retained by The Animal Haven. *

No other medications will be administered to the Foster Animal(s), except by a licensed veterinarian retained by The Animal Haven to provide medical care for the Fostered Animal(s). *

You will not to pay for, or otherwise cause, any veterinary procedure, elective or otherwise, to be performed on the Foster Animal(s) without the express written consent of The Animal Haven. *

With respect to cats that are Foster Animal(s), you will not allow the Foster Animal(s) outside or bring them outside unless the Foster Animal(s) is/are in a securely closed cat carrier or cat carrying bag and are accompanied by the Foster Caregiver and to ensure that all cats over three months old have a collar and identification tag on them at all times. *

With respect to Foster Animal(s) that are dogs, you will not allow the Foster Animal(s) outside, except on a leash accompanied by you or in a securely fenced in backyard supervised by you and that all dogs will have a collar and identification tag on them at all times. *

You will contact The Animal Haven with any and all questions or concerns about the Fostered Animal(s). *

You are fostering the Foster Animal(s) for The Animal Haven, you do not have any right of ownership with respect to the Foster Animal(s), the Foster Animal(s) are the property solely of The Animal Haven and The Animal Haven’s rights in and to the Foster Animal(s) are superior to yours. *

You do not have any right or authority to keep or place the Foster Animal(s) in other homes or with other individuals. *

The Foster Animal(s) cannot be moved to another temporary home, placed in the custody of other individuals, or placed in a permanent home without the full knowledge, approval and consent of The Animal Haven. *

If you plan to move at any time while the Foster Animal(s) are in your care and custody, you will contact The Animal Haven prior to moving and provide The Animal Haven with your new contact information, including your new address and telephone number(s). *

The Animal Haven has the right to request return of the Foster Animal(s) at any time, without prior notice, and for any reason. *

You will return the Foster Animal(s) to The Animal Haven immediately upon The Animal Haven’s request. *

You will provide The Animal Haven with access to your premises if necessary to facilitate the return of the Foster Animal(s) to The Animal Haven. *

If The Animal Haven is required to undertake any action to enforce this provision of this Agreement, you will indemnify The Animal Haven of all court costs and attorneys’ fees incurred in connection with such action. *

If at any point you no longer can, or do not want to, continue to provide temporary care and custody of the Foster Animal(s), you will contact The Animal Haven and return the Foster Animal(s) to The Animal Haven as soon as The Animal Haven has room for the Foster Animal(s) in the shelter. *

You are undertaking the obligations herein with no claim, now or in the future, to any type of compensation or reimbursement for caring for the Foster Animal(s). *

The opportunity given to you to care for the Foster Animal(s) and the satisfaction and enjoyment that you receive from caring for the Foster Animal(s) are of significant benefit to you and serve as proper legal consideration in exchange for your agreements stated herein. *

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Animal Haven from any direct or consequential damages arising from this Foster Care Agreement, including any and all manner of actions and causes of actions, suits, debts, dues, accounts, bonds, covenants, agreements, judgments, claims, and demands whatsoever arising from or relating to the foster, care, custody and/or possession of the Foster Animal(s). *
